Ömer Güler

Ömer Güler is an economist and former Turkish diplomat. In the Turkish Foreign Ministry, he worked at terrorism, international trade and economics related departments. As a diplomat he served in Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom. Before diplomacy, he worked at the Turkish Treasury. He received his master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva in international economics and his bachelor’s degree in economics from Bilkent University in Turkey. Currently he is pursuing a research master (in Dutch system it is equivalent to the coursework of the PhD) in economics at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He is a Marshall Memorial Fellow (2015) of the German Marshall Fund. He has fair knowledge of Russian, French and Dutch. Besides serious issues, he is an IQ/smart games designer.
