Baki Kaya
Baki Kaya is an economist, an energy expert, and a former diplomat. Before joining the Turkish Foreign Ministry, he worked for many years in the State Planning Organization where he specialized in energy policies and state-owned energy companies. During his tenure at the Ministry, he worked on Eurasia and Caucasia desk and served in Mauritania as the Deputy Chief of Mission.
He received his master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University SAIS – School of Advanced International Studies in International Relations and International Economics where he focused on the issues of energy, environment, sustainability, and climate change. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bogazici University. He currently resides in Germany.
